OAKLAND, Calif. – The Golden State Warriors have recalled forward Kevon Looney from the Santa Cruz Warriors of the NBA Development League, the team announced today.
Looney, who was assigned on March 17, appeared in two games during his most recent stint with the Santa Cruz Warriors. The 6’9”, 220-pound forward tallied 11 points and seven rebounds in 20 minutes against the Texas Legends on Friday and recorded a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds in 22 minutes in a Santa Cruz victory against Texas on Saturday. Over the course of two assignments this season, Looney is averaging 13.7 points on 57.6 percent from the field to go with 12.3 rebounds and 22.0 minutes in three games (one start) with Santa Cruz.
